Film Club for YOU
Film Club for YOU is more than movies. It is about taking time to connect with friends, learn something new and share ideas to get to know yourself and your friends through art. Movies, cinema, film, its all art and it all comes toghther in Film Club for YOU.
Film Club for YOU came about when I was looking for ideas to spend time with friends. Book clubs were the go-to answer, but we all admitted it was difficult to find time to read the books show up not feeling like we were cheating in class by not reading the book!
I love art and art museums, as do many of my friends- I pitched a "Film Club" and we haven't missed a date yet! Film Notes started out humbly, with just a few jots on a paper, but as our conversations expanded, so did my enthusiasm to find new things to bring to my friends. I wanted to bring perspectives that were unexpected, ideas that sparked new ones, and a few details that were clever surprises- it kept us all looking forward to the next Film Club!
So, with that, I bring you Film Club for YOU. You can make it as elaborate or simple as you would like. It does not need to be fancy, but can be if you want. It does not need to be all best friends- its a lovely way to get to introduce friends to one another. Across the street or across the state- Film Club for YOU is local or virtual.
